HCM City industrial value up 15.1%

HCM City industrial production value in October is estimated at some 9.248 trillion dong, up by 4.5% against last month. Overall, industrial production value in January-October period reached 82.094 trillion dong, a year on year increase of 15.1% of which domestic sector attained 60.035 trillion dong, up by 16.5%, foreign invested sector 22.036 trillion dong, up by 11.5%.
Out of 26 sectors, 23 sectors witnessed a year on year increase, of which nine sector posted a rise of more than 15%. Some sectors recorded high increase such as garment sector up by 20.7% compared with the same period last year, wood processing 29.7%, paper processing 24.7%, chemical 16.1%, rubber and plastic products 28.6%, metal production 16.1%. The three sectors of mining, stationeries, motored vehicles registered reduction in production value.
Non-state industrial production still posted a highest growth. The industrial value of this sector over the last ten months reached 23.614 trillion dong, a rise of 21.2% against last year, of which joint stock companies attained 1.094 trillion dong, up by 39.8%, private companies 2.301 trillion dong, up by 32.9%, limited liability companies 11.948 trillion dong, up by 27.5%, cooperatives 264 billion dong, up by 10.6%, households 8.007 trillion dong, up by 8.7%.
