HCM City securities broker gains 182.3b dong after-tax profit in 2010

HCM City Securities Joint Stock Co (coded HSC) has recently announced that ending 2010, it gained 462.2 billion dong of revenue, pre tax profit at 227.9 billion dong and after tax profit at 182.3 billion dong.

In comparison with 2009, the company’s revenue decreased 6 percent, pre tax profit down 32 percent and after tax profit down 34 percent.

However, in 2009, contribution to the company’s performance was the reimbursement of its risk standby fund worth up to 108.46 billion and it was only 11.96 billion dong in 2010.

Reportedly, Thomson Reuters has recently selected HSC as the Vietnam’s leading securities broker in term of brokerage and market research in 2010 and followed by Saigon Securities Inc (SSI) and Sacombank-SBS at the third.

In the Asia-Pacific region, HSC was ranked at the 20th position in term of brokerage, the 19th place in market research and the 14th in macroeconomic and strategic study.

HSC is the Vietnam’s sole securities company being included into the top 20 Asian leading securities companies.

This is the annual prestigious survey launched by Thomson Reuters with the participation of all securities companies in the Asia-Pacific region.
