HCM City to have additional 3,000 resettlement apartments

HCM City Department of Construction, People’s Committee of district 7 and Duc Khai Joint Stock Co have recently finished the block B4 of Phu My resettlement area project. The remaining blocks of this project with over 3,000 apartments are expected to complete within this year.

The construction was started in January 2010 for Phu My resettlement area project (Era Town) with total 3,070 apartments and total investment of over 4.3 trillion dong is being conducted under the city’s policy of socialisation to serve social welfare.

This is one of the city’s key resettlement projects covering an area of 105,000 square meters directed by HCM City Department of Construction. Duc Khai JSC will be the investor of this project. The project is expected to complete after 30 months of construction.

This resettlement project has many types of apartments ranging from 50 to 254 square meters. As planned, the Phu My resettlement area will accommodate about 11,072 residents.

According to the preliminary statistics, till 2015, HCM City will carry out 498 projects, including 191 unfinished projects in 2006-2010 period. In 2011-2015 trading period, it is estimated to have over 83,000 households in need of resettlement.
