HCM City to host International Travel Expo next week
The 8th International Travel Expo HCM City, or ITE HCM City 2012, is scheduled to take place from September 13 to 15 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention centre in District 7, organisers announced at a press briefing Thursday.
The ITE HCM City is an annual event held by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the city’s Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, to present the platform for both local and international travel and tourism organisations to collaborate and discuss inbound and outbound tourism.
Some 180 international tour organisers from 33 tourism markets, including Asean, Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea, India, the EU, the United Arab Emirates, and Russia will attend the exhibition.
The event will feature the tourism promotional campaign “Four Countries, One Destination,” which is the collaboration between Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar, whose tourism ministers and top tourism officials will also meet at the event.
Admission is free for local residents starting September 15, with many tourism products and promotional programmes on display.
