HCM City’s export processing and industrial zones attract 1,000 projects

The chief of management board of HCM City’s Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (Hepza), Vu Van Hoa reported that since being established, the city’s 12 industrial zones and three export processing areas attracted over 1,000 projects worth more than US$3.53 billion dong in total, accounting for the 21% of Vietnam’s total project numbers and 12% of investment capital.

The zones to date has earned US$11.5 billion dong in export turnover and employed about 220,000 workers.
