High-yield Japanese rice strain grown

After 10 years of experimental research, a joint venture between Japan’s

Kituku Co. and Vietnam’s Angimex Co., is successfully growing a high-

quality Japanese rice strain in Vietnam with a high yield of seven tonnes

per 3,600 square metres. This joint venture exports over 5,000 tonnes of

rice to Japan, Malaysia and Philippines markets at present.
