HNX Index gains over 4pct

In the trading session on February 20, the VN Index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) increased 2.65 percent or 10.7 points to 413.98 pts.

The trading value increased 30 percent from the previous trading session to reach over 685 billion dong for a trading volume of nearly 49 million units, up 21 percent.

Of the total 27 gainers in the group of VN30, as many as 13 shares reached the ceiling price.

EIB reached the biggest trading volume with 3.7 million units priced at 16,500 dong each, lower than the ceiling price by 100 dong.

ITA reached the put-through method transactions for 28 billion dong with 3.3 million units at the reference price of 8,500 dong each.

Foreign investors today bought 410,000 VCB shares of the total trading volume of 634,000 units, accounting for 65 percent.

On the northern bourse, the HNX Index touched 64.27 points, up 4 percent.

The trading value increased 45 percent to reach 440 billion dong for a trading volume of over 53 million units, up 43 percent from the previous trading session.

HBB suddenly reached trading volume of over 13 million units, only lower than the record of 16 million units on February 14, 2010.
