Hotline against corrupt customs officials

The customs department said it has set up telephone hotlines to allow disgruntled importers and exporters to lodge complaints against corrupt officials that stall for bribes or harass the public.

The phone number to make a complaint to the chief of the customs general department is (84-4) 872; head of the human resource department (84-4) 872 8069; head of the supervisory department (84-4) 827 550; head of the import-export tariff control department (84-4) 827 1814; head of customs investigation and anti-smuggling department (84-4) 872 0424. The hotline for complaints about harassment by customs officials is (84-4) 872 2107.
