HPS: Explains Net Profit Down 41.3pct YoY to 406m dong in Q2/2012 on Low Revenues

Hoa Phat Construction Stone JSC. (HPS) reported VND406 million net profit in the second quarter of this year, down 41.3 percent on year. The firm said in its financial statement sent to HNX’s website.

The company’s revenues were VND1.1 billion in Q2/2012, down 84.3 percent on year, the data showed.

The company had total VND27.15 billion assets by end of June, versus VND26.2 billion at the beginning of the year.

The firm’s EPS was VND259/share in Q2/2012, lower than VND443/share in Q2/2011. The figures were VND308/share in H1/2012 and VND872/share in H1/2011, respectively.

In H1/2012, the company earned VND482.8 million net profit on VND5.53 billion revenues, compared with VND1.36 billion net profit on VND11.68 billion revenues in H1/2011.

The firm attributed its net profit fall in Q2/2012 on low revenues (down 84.3 percent on year). Many construction projects were cancelled in Q2/2012 on capital shortage that affected the firm’s sales volume and revenues. The firm said in a filing sent to HNX’s website.
