Import duties of automobiles and automobile accessories

On DEC 4, 2002, the Ministry of Finance issued Decision 146/2002/QD-BTC amending and adding to names and import duty rates of automobiles and automobiles in the preferential import tariff.

* With respect to second-hand automobiles, the preferential import duty rates shall be 50% higher than the preferential import duty rates of new automobiles of the same kind.

* With respect to assembly of automobiles, the import duty shall be equal to the import duty rate of new finished automobile multiplied with (x) the import duty ratio, which is stipulated for each kind of automobile.
