Indonesia central bank says sees room for rate cut

Indonesia’s central bank sees room to cut its benchmark interest rate, deputy central bank governor Budi Mulya said on Friday Jan 30.

Asked by reporters whether Bank Indonesia planned to cut interest rates at its meeting next week, he said: “There is always room to cut.” Bank Indonesia will hold its next policy meeting on February 4.
