Initial inspection result on VNPT released

On 26 July 2012, State Inspectorate (VSI) held a meeting to report inspecting the result of Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT). According to the plan, VSI would inspect capital using and asset management in VNPT and subsidiaries for the time of 2006-2011.

In 2009, VSI inspected VNPT’s equitisation and found many financial violations. So, VSI proposed to recover 90 billion dong. In 2004, VSI also had a conclusion about VNPT with derogations in bidding regulations, bid evaluating procedures with total amount of wrongdoing at 10.283 trillion dong and $6.79 million.

VNPT is a big enterprise relying on telecommunication monopoly in many years, yet it has many uncontrollable violations.
