Insurance premium for mechanical vehicles achieves 2.147tr dong

Vietnam Insurance Association has reported that in H1, the whole non-life insurance market reached total premium of 6.442 trillion dong, up 15.8 percent y-o-y, led by the insurance for mechanical vehicles with revenue of 2.147 trillion dong, growing 26.3 percent.

In the service of providing insurance for mechanical vehicles, Bao Viet gained 584 billion dong in premium, Bao Minh 313 billion dong and PJICO 305 billion dong.

Also, the insurance for ship body and civil responsibility brought in the premium of 771 billion dong, including 253 billion dong for PVI, 223billion dong for Bao Viet, and 130 billion dong for Bao Minh.

Insurance for health and accidents earned 714 billion dong, rising by 22,3 percent, in which 297 billion dong was made by Bao Viet, 161 billion dong by Bao Minh and 69 billion dong by PVI, while the construction insurance premium was estimated at 707 billion dong, jumping 54.7 percent.

Insurance for goods transportation fell 12 percent, aviation insurance down 47 percent and fire insurance slumped 65 percent year-on-year.

Top insurers with highest revenue in Jan-Jun included Bao Viet with 1.667 trillion dong, PVI with 1.052 trillion dong and PJICO 542 billion dong.
