Interoil sees oil at Antelope, shares rise
InterOil Corp on Wednesday said it found indications of oil in its Antelope-2 well in Papua New Guinea, sending the exploration and production company’s shares up 4.2 percent.
InterOil is continuing to test whether the zone contains commercial quantities of oil and will announce the results of these tests when the evaluation has been completed, it said.
Shares of InterOil rose $3.04 to $75.86 in early trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
