Japan funds electricity technical assistance project

List of technical assistance projects in preparation for a project of electricity transmission and distribution for the second phase has been ratified by deputy prime minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
This is the project worth US$590,000, of which Policy and Human Resources Development Fund (PHRD) of the Japan government grants non-refundable aid of US$540,000 and the remaining amount is funded by Vietnam Electricity Corp (EVN) as counterpart capital. Deputy prime minister also assigns the Ministry of Industry to conduct appraisal content of the project and direct EVN to implement the project.
