July 12: UPCoM-Index Bucks Trend Closing Down

The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 130 unlisted public companies, closed down today as money flows focused on the official bourses.

The index lost 0.21 point, or 0.58 percent, to end at 36.29. The market volume rose to 345,157 worth of VND2.78 billion compared with 290,400 worth of VND2.88 billion a day earlier.

Market breadth turned negative as 15 rallied, 20 tumbled, 2 unchanged and the rest closed unmoved.

MAS was the biggest gainer, climbing 10 percent to finish at VND8,900 on a trade of 100 shares.

In the downswing, H11 was the biggest loser, erasing 10 percent to close at VND2,700 on a trade of 200 units.

FBA International Group (FBA) was the most active stock today on the bourse with 94,600 shares traded, closing up 7.5 percent to VND8,800.

Foreigners net bought 4,700 shares on this bourse today.
