July 16: UPCoM-Index Bucks Trend to Close Up

The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 130 unlisted public companies, bucked trend to close slightly higher on Monday, volume was stable.

The index added 0.02 points, or 0.05 percent, to end at 36.9. The market volume totalled 330,000 shares valued at VND2.37 billion, compared with 338,000 shares and VND1.91 billion from a day earlier.

Among index members, 12 increased in value, 15 tumbled, and 103 closed unmoved. Up to 100 stocks closed untraded.

HPT was the biggest gainer, climbing 10 percent to finish at VND9,900 on a trade of 2,000 shares.

In the downswing, ADP was the biggest loser, erasing 10 percent to close at VND9,000 on a trade of 100 units.

VSP was the most active on the gauge with 100,000 shares changed hands, which closed up 5 percent to VND2,100.

Foreigners net sold 1,500 shares on the bourse today.
