July 18: UPCoM-Index Close Up Following prime Bourse

The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 130 unlisted public companies, closed up Wednesday following the up move of the official bourse STC.

The index added 0.36 point, or 0.98 percent, to end at 37.05. The market volume totalled 399,000 shares valued at VND1.85 billion, compared with 661,230 shares valued at VND3.44 billion from a day earlier.

Among index members, 15 increased in value, 11 tumbled, and 7 closed unmoved, the rest untraded.

PTT was the biggest gainer, climbing 10 percent to finish at VND2,200 on a trade of 100 shares.

In the downswing, ABI was the biggest loser, erasing 10 percent to close at VND4,500 on a trade of 300 units.

VSP was the most active on the gauge with 186,900 shares changed hands, which closed up 8.7 percent to VND2,500.

Foreigners bought 100 SPC shares on the bourse today.
