Foreigners turned to net buy Vietnamese shares on both two bourses today as bargain hunters picked up shares after the markets fell for a fourth straight day, buying focused on FPT.

These players net bought VND78.63 billion worth of shares on STC after buying 3.4 million shares for VND138.64 billion and selling 1.9 million units for VND60.01 billion, accounting for 19.6 percent buying value and 8.49 percent selling value. These figures showed that net buying was the result of soaring demand and easing selling pressure from these players.

But of note, the net buying today was actually the result of VND94.82 billion net buying into a single share FPT in the put-through deals. Without these deals, they were still net sellers.

Today, foreigners’ top buying shares also included MBB (VND5.5 billion), BMC(VND2.6 billion), GAS(VND1.4 billion), and LSS (VND1.1 billion).

Foreigners’ top selling shares were HPG(-VND3.3billion), PVD(-VND3.1 billion), BVH(-VND3.1 billion), HSG(-VND3 billion) and EIB(-VND2.6 billion).

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, foreigners net bought VND6.89 billion worth of shares after buying 0.8 million shares for VND8.57 billion and selling 14,745 units for VND1.68 billion, accounting for 2.47 percent buying value and 0.48 percent selling value.

They actively bought VND, PGS, VCG, PVE, SED while they actively offloaded PVS, SCR,BCC, EID and THB shares.
