July 26: UPCoM-Index Rises Following Official Bourses

The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 131 unlisted public companies, rebounded for the first time in five days on bargain hunting, following official bourses.

The index added 0.284 point, or 0.76 percent, to end at 37.36. The market volume totalled 590,000 shares valued at VND4 billion, compared with 510,000 shares and VND2.31 billion from a day earlier.

Among index members, 16 increased in value, 16 tumbled, and 99 closed unmoved. Up to 94 stocks closed untraded.

TIS was the biggest gainer, climbing 9.8 percent to finish at VND4,500 on a trade of 600 shares.

In the downswing, KSC was the biggest loser, erasing 39 percent to close at VND3,300 on a trade of 3,400 units.

VHF was the most active on the gauge with 208,000 shares changed hands, which closed up 9.71 percent to settle at VND11,400.
