July 31: UPCoM-Index Bucks Trend to Close Up

The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 131 unlisted public companies, advanced on Tuesday extending gains of the bourse in July.

The index added 0.22 points, or 0.59 percent, to end at 37.2, sending the index up 1.95 percent in July.The market volume totalled 285,000 shares valued at VND2.17 billion, compared with 215,000 shares and VND1.24 billion from a day earlier.

Among index members, 13 increased in value, 11 tumbled, and 107 closed unmoved. Up to 101 stocks closed untraded.

WSB was the biggest gainer, climbing 9.74 percent to finish at VND16,900 on a trade of 100 shares.

In the downswing, IN4 was the biggest loser, erasing 9.4 percent to close at VND10,600 on a trade of 100 units.

SPD was the most active on the gauge with 58,000 shares changed hands, which were traded off floor.

Foreigners net sold VND10.84 million worth of shares on this bourse today.
