July 4: UPCoM-Index Bucks Trend to Close Up

The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 129 unlisted public companies, bucked trend to close up today despite losses in the main bourses.

The index added 0.1 point, or 0.28 percent, to end at 36.44. The market volume was 302,885 worth of VND2.28 billion compared with 334,900 worth of VND2.72 billion a day earlier.

Market breadth was positive as 15 rallied, 11 tumbled, 8 unchanged and the rest closed unmoved.

TNM was the biggest gainer, climbing 10 percent to finish at VND3,300 on a trade of 5,000 shares.

In the downswing, VCT was the biggest loser, erasing 9.35 percent to close at VND9,700 on a trade of 100 units.

I40 was the most active stock on the gauge with 80,000 shares changed hands, which closed unchanged at VND7,000.

Foreigners bought 5,100 NBW shares today.
