July 6: UPCoM-Index Bucks Trend to Close Down, Volume Rises

The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 130 unlisted public companies, bucked trend to close down today and liquidity improved a bit.

The index lost 0.19 point, or 0.52 percent, to end at 36.47. The market volume was 504.075 worth of VND3.46 billion compared with 340,762 worth of VND3.07 billion a day earlier.

Market breadth was positive as 19 rallied, 11 tumbled, 7 unchanged and the rest closed unmoved.

NTW was the biggest gainer, climbing VND1,400 to finish at VND15,500 on a trade of 100 shares.

In the downswing, NBW was the biggest loser, erasing VND1,700 to close at VND15,800 on a trade of 3,900 units.

WSB was the most active stock on the gauge with 47,000 shares changed hands, which closed unchanged at VND18,000.

Foreigners net sold 8,800 WSB shares, bought 3900 NBW and 3,100 BTW shares today.
