July 9: UPCoM-Index Bucks Trend to Close Up

The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 130 unlisted public companies, bucked trend to close up today.

The index added 0.18 point, or 0.49 percent, to end at 36.65. The market volume was 300,199 worth of VND2.64 billion compared with 504.075 worth of VND3.46 billion a day earlier.

Market breadth was still negative as 13 rallied, 17 tumbled, 6 unchanged and the rest closed unmoved.

PMT was the biggest gainer, climbing 10 percent to finish at VND11,000 on a trade of 21,900 shares.

In the downswing, ADP was the biggest loser, erasing 10 percent to close at VND9,900 on a trade of 7,140 units.

VSP was the most active stock on the gauge with 55,200 shares changed hands, which closed down 5 percent to VND1,900.

Foreigners net bought 8,400 shares on this bourse today.
