June 6: UPCoM-Index Bucks Trend to Close Down

The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 129 unlisted public companies, closed lower on Wednesday led by heavy-weighs.

The index slid 0.09 point or 0.25 percent to end at 35.77. The market volume was 257,000 shares valued at VND1.52 billion, compared with 452,000 shares and VND1.98 billion from a day earlier.

Market breadth was negative where 18 rallied, 20 tumbled, and 91 closed unmoved and 86 stocks untraded.

VHF was the biggest gainer, climbing 10 percent to finish at VND8,800 on a common trade of 100 shares.

CT3 was the biggest loser, erasing 39.4 percent to close at VND7,700 on a trade of 100 units.

FBA was the most active stock on the gauge with 89,000 shares changed hands, which closed up 2.78 percent to settle at VND3,700.

Foreigners bought 100 BTW shares and 1,800 VQC shares today.
