KDC estimates to gain 416b dong profit from core businesses in H2

In the last six months of this year, Kinh Do Joint Stock Co (KDC) expects to gain 2.758 trillion dong revenue and 416 billion dong profit before tax from key business activities, the online newspaper Vietstock said.

For the whole year 2011, KDC estimates to reach revenue of 4.271 trillion dong, or 102 percent of the year’s plan and growing 33 percent year-on-year and profit before tax from core business activities at 506 billion dong, rising 45 percent y-o-y and fulfilling the year’s target.

In comparison with the first six months of this year, the company’s revenue in H2 would increase 82 percent and profit would increase 361 percent thanks to Mid-Autumn Festival and Tet Holiday.

In H1, the company gained consolidated revenue of 1.513 trillion dong, 2.5 fold increase year-on-year. However, it suffered a loss from finance activities in H1 while in last H1 it gained 385 billion dong profit, so the entire group’s profit after tax decreased up to 90 percent to 33 billion dong.
