Than Ho Co, or Kobekara, will spend 75 billion dong building another office block in Quang Trung Software City in HCM City’s District 12, the company’s director said. Bui Hum Thuan said that work on the 12-story Sunrise Office Building would start in the middle of next month and take one-year.
The building will house Kobekara’s office, a training centre for Vietnamese who want to work in Japan and 7,000 square metres for information technology businesses.
Thuan said Kobekara was working with a Japanese partner to invite Japanese software companies to the building. Four Japanese companies have already committed to move there.
The Sunrise Office Building will have Japanese-standard offices, a centre providing information specifically for Japanese companies and periodical reports of Japanese organisations and government.
Kobekara already built one office block, catering to Japanese enterprises. The JVPE, or the Japan-Vietnam Portal for Engineering Gateway, opened in late 2004 and is full of Japanese software companies, he said.
Besides real estate projects, Kobekara also develops software, often partnering up with Japanese companies. Kobekara has six representative offices in Japan and will set up a company in Tokyo in June.
Kobekara was founded in 2001 by Vietnamese IT engineers. returning from Kobe, Japan, and other IT engineers with experience in managing local projects.
