As planned, in June 2012, the Japan-based Kyocera Group would kick off construction works on a new mobile phone and electronic components manufactory to be situated in Thang Long 2 Industrial Zone, Hung Yen province. The factory would be located in an area of 89,000 square metres.

In the first phase, the project has total investment capital of $55 million. The construction is expected to be finished in August 2012. The group plans to invest additional $195 million to expand the production scale for the manufactory in the second phase. The factory would produce new products of SMD Package, mobile phones and software development.

The Japanese investor has suggested Hung Yen province’s functional authorities to set priority for providing sustainable power source for the manufactory, supporting the company’s recruitment for high-quality workers and applying tax incentives for the project.
