Lao Airlines to open routes to Vietnam

Lao Airlines plans to launch new routes from the southern city of Savannakhet to Vietnam and Thailand in October this year, Laos news agency (KPL) reported.

Director general of Lao Airlines, Somphone Duangdala said they would initially operate one flight a week, but could increase flights to one a day if demand increased. Last week, the airline re-opened the Savannakhet to Vientiane route after a five year hiatus, during which Savannakhet airport was repaired and upgraded to an international airport.
