Lauda Air stops trial HCM City weekly route
Austria’s Lauda Air has stopped a trial weekly service between Roma and HCM City more than a month after it was launched due to low travel demand, a source close to the situation said.
The first Lauda Airplane landed in HCM City on December 24, and selected the Omni Saigon as the hotel for its aircrew.
Omni Saigon general manager Henk Meyknecht said that the airline last week stopped this Roma-HCM City weekly service with a stopover in Burma’s Rangoon.
He said more airlines planned to choose his five-star hotel for their crewmembers.
The Omni Saigon, just five minutes by car from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, has been chosen by such airlines as Japan Airlines, Eva Air and China Southern Airlines for their crew.
