The Indonesia airline PT Lion Air has decided to suspend the Jakarta-HCM City route to concentrate on the country’s domestic market.
The carrier has operated four flights a week between the cities, but the air route has shown poor performance, said Hasyim Arsal Alhabsi, the airline’s PR chief, as quoted by the Indonesian Koran Tempo daily February 24.
According to him, the move is necessary as Lion Air is restructuring its organisation.
Alhabsi rejected reports that the suspension was because Lion Air is incurring losses.
