Locally produced medicines increase 10–20%

Prices of some locally produced medicines has now increased, as a source of Vietnam Pharmaceutical Production and Trade Association on November 22. In Hanoi, price of medicines of 3B, Berberin tablets covered with sugar, glue labelled Sao Vang (golden star) has increased 20–50%, eyewash of Chloramphenicol up 0.4%. There will be upheaval of price of some locally-produced antibiotics in the forthcoming time. In Da Nang central city, price of such pharmaceutical products as attar, medicines has spiralled and HCM City price of some materials for medicines production has also increased.
On the same day of November 22, an official of Vietnam Pharmaceutical Management Department forecasted that from now to the end of the year, price of some locally-produced medicines would increase 10–20% due to rise of import duty on materials and some other expenses and price of imported medicines would probably rise by 4–5%.
