Families, searchers and others are remembering Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, which disappeared four years ago.

Family members lit candles on a stage Saturday and observed a moment of silence during the three-hour event. The plane took off from Kuala Lumpur en route to Beijing.

Intan Maizura Othman’s husband was a flight attendant on the plane. She was pregnant when the plane disappeared and attended the event with her now 4-year-old son.

In 2015 after more than 10 months of searching for the plane, the government of Malaysia officially declared the loss of MH370 an accident and all of its passengers and crew, 239 people in total, as presumed to be dead.

On August 5, 2015, Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak said a piece of debris that washed up on the French island of Reunion is indeed part of missing Flight 370.

To date, the fate of the jetliner and its occupants has yet to be determined.
