Many imported items from Cambodia to enjoy tax exemption

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has recently issued a Circular No 68 specifying the categories of imported commodities from Cambodia to enjoy a tax exemption.

Accordingly, these imported items must have a certificate of origin form S (C/O form S) granted by Cambodian authorities.

Some items on the list of tax exemption include prawn, white shrimp, crab, vegetables, dried beans, shellfish, and fresh, chilled, frozen, dried food, fruit such as pineapple, guava, mango, mangosteen and durian, fragrant rice, glutinous rice, coffee, and cotton.

The Circular will become effective from October 1, 2011.
