May 31: UPCoM-Index Falls Following Official Bourses

The UPCoM-Index ended down on Thursday following the falls seen in the official bourses

The index lost 0.14 points, or 0.38 percent, to end at 36.3. The gauge rose 3.5 percent in May despite losses seen in primary bourse for the months.

Among index members, 12 rallied, 18 tumbled, and 101 closed unmoved. Up to 96 stocks closed untraded.

The market volume totalled 304,000 shares valued at VND1.56 billion, compared with 297,000 shares and VND1.63 billion a day earlier.

SHP was the biggest gainer, climbing 10 percent to finish at VND5,500 on a common trade of 6,500 shares.

In the downswing, ADP was the biggest loser, erasing 10 percent to close at VND12,600 on a trade of 5,000 units.

FBA was the most active stock on the gauge with 133,000 shares changed hands, which closed down 10 percent at VND3,600.

Foreigners traded only BTW shares today.
