Morgan Stanley signs financing deal with PetroVietnam

National oil firm PetroVietnam on October 16 in Hanoi signed an agreement with US-based investment bank Morgan Stanley and the Hanoi Securities Transaction Centre HaSTC whereby Morgan Stanley will support PetroVietnam to raise capital from global capital markets to meet the demand of using foreign and domestic investment capital, at the same time exchange skills in bank and finance management and business administration in PetroVietnam’s subsidiaries.

Morgan Stanley also plans to become PetroVietnam Finance Co (PVFC)’s strategic shareholder via holding 10% of shares in the PVFC’s forthcoming share offer.

Meanwhile, HaSTC committed to support PetroVietnam in guiding the process and regulations to auction and list shares as well as business bonds and other activities that relate to stock market.
