MSN reaches ceiling price, VN Index ends chain of consecutive falls

The VN Index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) today October 20 kept the upward trend right early the trading session, to close up 2.58 points or 0.64 percent to 403.73 pts.

The trading volume decreased 25 percent from the previous trading session while the trading value increased nearly 5 percent day on day.

IJC reached the biggest trading volume with only 745,000 units. Closing the trading session, IJC slipped 2 percent to 9,400 dong each.

Amongst the group of large market capitalisation shares, MSN reached the ceiling price to 117,000 dong per share while BVH, VCB and ITC stood still at the reference price. Others such as VIC, HPC, HAG, KDC, ITA, EIB, and STB decreased below 1 percent.

MSN was negotiated for 500,000 units worth 58 billion dong. As registered, BankInvest registered to buy 500,000 MSN shares from October 19 to November 19.

EIB today reached trading volume of only less than 400,000 units. However, the negotiation trading volume reached 1.72 million units valued at nearly 25 billion dong.

The HNX Index today returned to fall to 67.72 pts.

The trading value fell 25 percent day on day to 194 billion dong, the lowest since August 16.

Some shares reached trading volume of over one million units like KLS, VND and VCG.
