NA to debate 25 new laws in 2006

The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee met on January 6 to discuss the implementation of a programme to formulate laws and ordinances for 2006.
According to its resolution, in 2006, the NA is expected to approve 25 draft laws while its Standing Committee will pass 10 draft ordinances, one draft resolution and some additional draft laws. The committee has assigned tasks to relevant agencies to prepare and submit draft laws.
Participants agreed to map out plans to ensure that draft laws are submitted to the government for approval on schedule.
