National sanitary and phytosanitary information office founded

The prime minister signed Decision 99/2005/QD-TTg founding a national sanitary and phytosanitary information office (SPS Vietnam).
Reportedly, the SPS Vietnam will be authorised to assist the minister of agriculture and rural development to implement sanitation and animal and plant quarantine measures of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
WTO’s members are required to supply information on risks assessment, examination, inspection measures and epidemic prevention activities.
