New international conference building for Hanoi

The prime minister has allowed the construction of a seven-story building at the International Conference Centre (ICC) located at 35 Hung Vuong Street, Hanoi with total investment capital of about 70 billion dong for long-term activities of Vietnam’s Party, National Assembly and the government. The building should be completed ready for the 5th Asean Summit of Economic Ministers (Asem) by 2004 and later stages of the building for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (Apec) in 2006 scheduled to be held in Vietnam.
