The latest statistics from Vietnam Food Association showed that during the first half of this year, the country's rice export reached over 157,700 tonnes, earning the turnover of US$121.592 million.
Therefore, up to the mid of August, the total rice export gained nearly 2.86 million tonnes, bringing in US$1.672 billion.
