First private airline appoints CEO

Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Co officially announced the appointment of Brian Presbury as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of VietJetAir.

Presbury will take charge of refining and implementing strategic plans to position VietJetAir as one of the top airlines in Vietnam as well as in region.

VietJetAir is the first private airline in Vietnam, licensed in of December 2007. Currently, VietJetAir is focusing on preparations for the first private business flight, planned for December 2008.

In the first year of operation, VietJetAir will focus on domestic routes between Hanoi, Da Nang, and HCM City. Other domestic and international destinations will be added later.
