German contractor nominated for parliament building contract

The Ministry of Construction Thursday recommended a German consortium be awarded the contract to build a new National Assembly Hall in Hanoi.

The ministry is seeking the approval of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung for German joint venture GMP International GmbH and Inros Lackner AG to be awarded the contract to design and build the new hall.

If approved, the new National Assembly Hall will measure 10,404 square meters.
