Third private airline seeks license

Vietnam Aviation Department reported that it has finished the appraisal on business registration application of the private aviation firm named Mekong Aviation with the chartered capital of 200 billion dong.
If the company gains the permission of Traffic and transport ministry, Mekong Aviation will become the third private carrier in Vietnam, after Vietjet Airlines and Speed Up. According to the application, Mekong Aviation will start operations by 2010 with below 100 seat planes branded Bombadier, Embraer or ATR 72.
