Ovi Cables Vietnam expands production

Ovi Cables Vietnam Co on March 9 announced that it has officially started construction on the second electric cable production plant in the southern province of Binh Duong to produce medium voltage electric wire.

The plant with total investment of US$10 million on a site of five hectares is expected to start operation in 2011.
The products from the plant are to serve domestic market and for export.

The first plant with ISO 9001:2000 standard is running in My Phuoc 2 industrial zone, Ben Car Dist in Binh Duong province.

In 2009, the company earned 70 billion dong of profit.

Established in 2006, Ovi Cables Vietnam is a subsidiary of Olympic Cables Co under the Malaysia-based PJ Development Holding Berhad Group.
