KHA shuts down one facility from April 30

Khanh Hoi Export Import JSC-Khahomex (STC listed KHA) officially decided to shut down operation of Khanh Hoi forestry processing facility from April 30, 2010.

The facility was formed from August 1994 in Tang Nhan Phu Ward, Dist 9 of HCM City. Till November 2001, KHA established the second facility in Binh Phuoc B Hamlet, Binh Chuan Commune, Thuan An Dist, Binh Duong province. And in 2002, the company merged two facilities into one named Khanh Hoi Forestry Processing Plant.

The merged facility has total annual investment size of $150,000 with the wooden product export turnover of over $1 million a year.
In 2003, KHA earned $1.59 million from exports, a year-on-year rise of 52 percent, $1.04 million in 2004, down 31 percent, and $1.62 million or up 56 percent y-o-y in 2005.

KHA share price on STC yesterday fell by 700 dong to 24,000 dong per share.
