HCM City and Hanoi's July CPI decline

Consumer price index (CPI) of HCM City this month rose by only 0.54% against the previous month, a much lower than 4.24% of two months ago, marking the lowest level since the start of the year, according to statistics from general Statistic Office (GSO) on July 21.

Particularly, HCM City's CPI in Jan-July jumped by 17.11% from the last year end and by 25.14% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, the foodstuff price in Hanoi this month also fell by 0.61% against June. The common consumer price surged by 1.56% against 2.39% growth of last month. Thus, Hanoi's CPI in the first seven months of this year has increased by 18.82% from late last year and up 24.84% yoy.
