HCM City has currently speeded up the implementation process of key infrastructure projects. It is supposed that the city will carry out the first phase of 2010 construction plan with total investment capital of 17.348 trillion dong.

Among the total capital for conducting the 2010 investment projects, the state budget will only contribute 14.044 trillion dong. In order to make up for the lack of 3.304 trillion dong, the local people’s committee will check and propose the list of abandoned state-owned land or wrongly used ones for auctioning. The city’s functional authorities will take responsibility for allocating investment capital for projects, especially those that are expected to be completed in 2010.

In the first period, the authorities will spend 3.524 trillion dong for ground clearance works, disburse ODA loans and counterpart capital from state budget of 4.536 trillion dong.
