Total social investment in 2010 estimated at over 791tr dong

At the online meeting on national construction and investment held on March 4 in Hanoi under the chair of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, minister of planning and investment, Vo Hong Phuc, reported that during the year 2009, total social investment reached 708.5 trillion dong, equalling to 42.2 percent of GDP.

As planned, in 2010, total capital mobilisation for social investments would be over 791 trillion dong or 41 percent of GDP.
Dung said that basic construction investment will be important motivation boosting the country's economic growth in 2010.
