Vietnam earns over $1.7b from exports to Japan

Vietnam earned total $1.7 billion from exporting to Japan thanks to tariff incentives of the Asean–Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (AJCEP, C/O form AJ) that took effect from December, 2008, Tran Ba Cuong, manager of goods origin and quality office under Ministry of Industry and Trade reported.

The above export turnover accounted for 27.81 percent of total export to Japan, in which Vietnam's apparel export led with the turnover of nearly $955 million, followed by electrical wire and cables for $630 million.
